VooServers are glad to announce that with another few months of strong growth we have successfully hired two new members to our team.
Sam is our new web strategist, responsible for developing and maintaining our website as well as implementing search engine and online marketing strategies.
Fahad joins our technical team as a helpdesk support analyst responsible for assisting our clients with any support queries and responding to our proactive monitoring systems alerts.
Sam and Fahad have only been here for a short time but are already getting stuck into their roles and making significant contributions to the team.
VooServers’ technical director Matt Parkinson commented on the appointments saying: “We are glad to have both of them within our team and are keen to see how they perform within their roles. We wish them all the best and that they stay with us for the considerable future.”

It’s been exactly 2 years since our last website revision and we are now proud to present the new VooServers website featuring a modern yet simplistic design geared towards the technical market. The new design also incorporates a number of responsive elements to adapt to all shapes of screen and mobile devices to provide the best user experience for the device you are accessing our website on.
Approaching our 10 year anniversary we decided an overhaul was necessary in-line with the significant changes and growth we have experienced in the past 2 years. With a number of new services having been launched such as public, private and hybrid cloud as well as launching data centres in Frankfurt and New York City the old website didn’t represent where we are today as a company.
Work is still on-going on some sections of the website so please bear with us whilst we complete the work. If you notice anything amiss please let us know via one of our social media channels or by e-mailing firstname.lastname@example.org.

On the 27th of November 2014 VooServers participated as sponsors of the KM charity team’s Kent Cooks competition held in the excellent facilities at East Kent College in Broadstairs. Our technical director Matt Parkinson pictured on the left with Iosbella McAuley, one of the primary school category finalists and Dan Kennedy from the Kent Cookery school was sent along to judge the dishes being entered.
Matt said that the judging process was “an exciting yet difficult one” and that he enjoyed “a mouth-watering morning looking at the dishes being prepared before he could finally taste them.”
The level of entries was outstanding with more dishes entered this year than ever before. The entrants were a range of ages from 4 years old up to 16. Some of the dishes that were prepared included a Whitstable wharf pie, spicy meatballs and seasonal stuffed aubergines each with a side to complement. There were also a number of deserts prepared in some of the categories which Matt thoroughly enjoyed with his sweet tooth! The deserts included Strawberry and Basil Cheesecake, Caramel Cheesecake, Abbie’s Chocolate Dream and a vanilla jelly with fruit compote.
The VooServers team would like to say well done to everyone that took part and a big congratulations to the winners below who excelled in preparation, presentation and taste.
The winners received a share of £500 along with a certificate, Masterchef cook book and goody bag.

VooServers® are humbled to have been shortlisted by KEiBA for both the ‘Best Science and/ or Technology Business’, and ‘Young Entrepreneur’ awards this year.
During the past two weeks we have been interviewed by the respective judges of each award, and now wait in anticipation to see if we have reached the final stage which is expected to be announced mid-May.
The shortlisting in both categories represents VooServers efforts to advance in our field as well as recognising the collective and autonomous achievements of our staff members since the company’s inception. With this in mind we hope to make the final stage!

As part of our growth plans VooServers has now launched a point of presence in New York. Located in the heart of the financial district just a few minutes from Wall Street this new point of presence is a prime location for a number of our UK customers who trade with the US as well as clients located in the US themselves.
As part of the initial deployment we have rolled out a private cloud consisting of 44TB of storage, 656GB of RAM, 184 processing cores and 92Gbit of internal network connectivity. Early in 2014 we will also be connecting the New York POP back to our UK and Frankfurt sites allowing us to offer cross data centre failover services and geographical load balancing.
