IT infrastructure specialists, VooServers have gained a G-Cloud listing for its Oracle database services, by meeting the detailed criteria set out by the government’s Digital Marketplace scheme.
The G-Cloud framework, operated by the Crown Commercial Service, is used by the government to connect public sector organisations with suppliers of cloud-based services, including hosting, software and support. Buyers will benefit from faster and cheaper cloud services that are adapted to suit their needs from a range of different suppliers.
VooServers offer oracle cloud hosting, which can range from single servers running an oracle database to multiple servers running Oracle RAC (Real Application Clusters). The company specialises in high availability solutions alongside their oracle products which means they can deliver services with zero downtime and the support of a 24/7 technical team.
As part of their G-Cloud offering, VooServers allow organisations with existing oracle licences to move their existing workloads to a cloud environment without having to purchase a new licence. VooServers is also a member of the Oracle Partner Network providing access to partner resources and licensing, meaning it can take care of infrastructure and licensing advice all in one place.
Matt Parkinson, VooServers founder and Technical Director said: “We are delighted to have been recognised with a G-Cloud listing for our Oracle database services as it’s one of our fastest growing services in our private sector offering. Previously, our reach into the public sector has been limited, despite the huge demand for Oracle database services, so we are looking forward to expanding our work in this area.”
“It is fantastic to be part of a scheme that gives potential buyers access to a wide range of suppliers that they otherwise may not have known about.”

VooServers have been deploying and maintaining phone systems based on Microsoft VOIP technology since Office Communications Server 2007 and we are now pleased to announce that our first customer upgrade from Lync 2013 to Skype for Business Server 2015 has been completed.
Skype for Business brings together the well-known VOIP brand of Skype with the advanced technology of Microsoft Lync to create a product which is being rated as one of the best PBX replacements on the market for enterprise communications.
Skype for Business introduces a change in the UI to the previous Lync 2013 clients to create a much more similar interface to that of Skype for Desktop which users have been using for personal communications for years. This on its own is driving user adoption and making communication processes in the workplace more seamless than ever before.
Here at VooServers we are excited about the changes and so are our clients with a number of upgrades scheduled over the coming weeks as well as a number of new deployments for companies looking to migrate away from their traditional phone systems to the more unified communications platform that Skype for Business offers.
If you are as excited as we are about Skype for Business then give us a call today on 0800 0803 200 and speak to one of our representatives about your communications requirements.
